INVIA

Subscription

The Subscription card on the Profile tab in every state, what a failed payment does to the date, checkout, the monthly to annual switch and the billing links.

Last checked against the live app on 3 September 2026.

The Subscription card sits at the top of the right column on the Profile tab. It names your plan and, in most states, gives a date and a button, because everything you can do about Pro starts from that one card.

What the card shows#

Find the words on your own card in the first column, because each state means something different and only some of them need you to do anything.

State Card text What to do
Trial Pro trial, N DAYS LEFT, Your trial ends {date}. Keep single track after it does. with Upgrade to Pro Choose Upgrade to Pro before that date, because single track stops when the trial runs out.
Free Free / Single track, offline maps, and live tracking are Pro. with Upgrade to Pro and From $5.00 / month, billed annually Choose Upgrade to Pro to turn those three back on.
Paid INVIA Pro, ANNUAL or MONTHLY, Renews {date} Nothing, because the plan renews on that date on its own.
Paid monthly Switch to annual, save 50% with Confirm switch / Keep monthly Choose Confirm switch to move to the annual price, or Keep monthly to stay where you are.
Organizer Organizer, includes Pro Nothing, since Organizer carries Pro with it.
Complimentary or granted Pro, complimentary or INVIA Pro, granted Nothing, because there is no charge and no renewal to manage.
Event access Pro through {date}. Nothing until that date, when the account goes back to Free.
Cancelling Ends on {date}. Renewal is off. with Renew subscription Choose Renew subscription if you want billing to start again, which keeps Pro past that date.
Granted Pro ending Pro ends {date}. / Your Pro access is ending soon. with Upgrade to Pro Choose Upgrade to Pro to keep Pro, because this card shows only when Pro came from something other than a payment, so there is nothing in Manage billing to fix.
Payment failed Your last payment didn't go through. Pro ends {date} unless the card is updated. with Update payment method Choose Update payment method and enter a card that works, so the plan renews instead of ending.

The two cards at the bottom of that table look alike and are not the same thing. Your Pro access is ending soon. belongs to an account whose Pro came from a grant or a complimentary account rather than a payment, so its button is Upgrade to Pro. No payment sits behind that state, which is why the billing links have nothing to fix in it.

The trial in the first row is given to you rather than started, because every new account gets Pro for 14 days when it is created, with no card to enter. The card counts it down in N DAYS LEFT, and the account drops to Free when it runs out. A trial is granted once and never renewed, so buying Pro is always a straight purchase and the Stripe page never offers a trial.

When Pro ends#

Pro still works until the date on the card. The trial, cancelling, granted Pro ending and payment failed states all print that date rather than ending Pro at once. You keep what you paid for until it arrives, and after that date the account continues as Free.

Your routes, rides, collections and waypoints stay in the account. Losing Pro changes which tools you can open, not what you have saved, so nothing you built is deleted when the plan ends.

On that date the card reads Free / Single track, offline maps, and live tracking are Pro., so the change is limited to those three:

  • Single track, offline maps and live tracking stop.
  • Route building, storage and a connected device keep working on Free.

To get Pro back, choose Upgrade to Pro on the card, which opens the same plan picker as before. Free, Pro and Organizer in full. Accounts and the Pro trial.

When a payment fails#

A failed payment does not end Pro that day, because the payment provider keeps retrying the card on its own schedule. The date on the card is the date Pro ends if none of those attempts works, and while the retries are running it is the end of the period you already paid for.

If that date passes with the payment still unpaid, Pro stays on for about another week, and the card moves to the later date, which is the deadline that counts. Updating the card is the only thing on your side, because you cannot trigger a retry and do not need to.

The card reads Your last payment didn't go through. Pro ends {date} unless the card is updated., then INVIA Pro / Renews {date} once a payment goes through. If INVIA has no date to print, the card reads Your last payment didn't go through. Update the card to keep Pro. instead, and the action is the same.

Checkout#

Pro renews on its own once you buy it, so checkout runs through Stripe once and returns you to INVIA when the payment goes through.

  1. Choose Upgrade to Pro. The plan picker opens.
  2. Pick the annual plan or the monthly plan, since that choice sets both the price and the renewal date.
  3. Choose Continue to checkout. INVIA sends you to Stripe.
  4. Pay on the Stripe page. Stripe returns you to INVIA.

Annual is $59.99 / year. Monthly is $9.99 / month. The picker shows the annual plan as a monthly figure too, so you can compare the two ways of paying before you pick one:

Line Text
Heading INVIA Pro / Free is the road map. Pro is single track.
Annual $59.99 / year ($5.00 / month, billed annually, SAVE 50%)
Monthly $9.99 / month

Back in INVIA the screens read in this order: Activating Pro while the payment is confirmed, then Pro is active. Welcome aboard. / Single Track and ATV are now on your map, toggle them in Layers. A cancelled checkout reads Checkout cancelled. Nothing was charged.

Activating Pro is the normal wait, because Stripe confirms the payment after it sends you back, so give it a few seconds and watch for the card to read INVIA Pro. INVIA keeps looking for about half a minute, and if the confirmation has not arrived by then the card rewrites its own second line rather than going back to a buy button:

When The line under Activating Pro
At first Payment received, confirming with the payment provider. This takes a few seconds.
After about half a minute Still confirming with the payment provider. Reload in a minute, nothing needs doing.

Wait and reload the page rather than starting a second checkout, because the payment has already gone through and the card is waiting on the confirmation rather than on you.

If you close the Stripe page or back out of it, the checkout stops there and nothing reaches your card. No payment was taken. Your plan is unchanged. Choose Upgrade to Pro again whenever you want to start over, since a cancelled checkout changes nothing on the account.

Monthly to annual#

Confirm switch changes the subscription you already have rather than opening a second checkout, which is why there is no second Stripe page to pay on. The part of the month you have paid for but not used is credited against the annual price automatically, and INVIA says so in the message Switched to annual. The unused part of this month is credited automatically.

The card then goes back to the ordinary Pro card, labelled ANNUAL with its next renewal date, though Stripe can take a few seconds to confirm the change before that label appears.

Billing#

Manage billing and Cancel subscription… live under Edit Profile, Account settings…. Use them when you want to change how you are billed, rather than the Subscription card, which only reports the state you are already in.

  1. Open Edit Profile.
  2. Choose Account settings….
  3. Choose Manage billing for billing, or Cancel subscription… to stop renewal.

The panel gives the plan, the price and the renewal date, and it names how the account holds Pro, because Pro can come from a payment, a grant or an event:

  • Paid subscription
  • Complimentary, no charge
  • Free trial
  • Event access
  • Granted account
  • Promotional code

The panel labels its date row the way the card does, so the two always agree. The row reads Renews on a plan that is running, Ends on after you cancel, and Pro ends unless the card is updated while a payment is failing.

After you cancel, the card reads Ends on {date}. Renewal is off. Pro works until that date, so the time you already paid for is not lost, and nothing you saved is removed. Choose Renew subscription to start renewal again.
