Plans
Free, Pro and Organizer: what each includes, the 14-day trial, caps, and how gating behaves in the app today.
Every INVIA account opens with 14 days of Pro, and no card is required, so you can use the full toolset before you decide whether to pay for it. When the 14 days end the account continues as Free. Your routes, rides, collections and waypoints are all still listed, because a plan decides which tools you reach rather than what you own. Accounts and the Pro trial.
What each plan costs#
| Plan | Price |
|---|---|
| Free | $0, no card required |
| Pro | $9.99 a month, or $59.99 a year |
| Organizer | $79.99 a year |
Organizer includes everything in Pro at one rate, so an event host buys one plan rather than adding Organizer on top of a Pro subscription.
Free#
Free covers route building, storage and a connected device, which is enough to plan a ride and load it onto your Garmin. Every Free account gets:
- The four open road classes
- Every basemap
- All ride-area and trail pins
- Tap to identify
- The Explore community heat map
- Garmin connect, import and send
- Standard GPX export
Free limits how many of these one account holds: imported routes, built routes, collections and device sends. The feature list above stays whole whatever those counts are, so Free is a smaller library rather than a smaller map, and upgrading to Pro removes all four limits.
Pro#
$9.99 a month, or $59.99 a year, 50% off. Pro includes everything in Free and lifts all four limits, so your library, routes, collections and device sends have no limits. Pro adds:
- The Single Track and ATV road classes, and the extra Forest Service roads that were never published
- Land boundaries on the map, and your personal heat map
- The Garmin map builder, which builds, downloads and sends custom .img maps
- Device management: the advanced device file browser, deleting from the device, managing .img maps on it, and bulk imports of 20 or more files
- Library power tools: Smart Files filters, Organize, the clean-up tools, splitting multi-track files and collection map PDF export
- Shareable tracking pages, live location sharing and the buddy map
- Creating casual meet-ups
Offline maps#
The plan picker lists Offline maps in the INVIA app, which is a feature of the INVIA app rather than the web, so that row does not change what the browser can do. The nearest thing on the web is the Garmin map builder, because the map you build there goes onto the Garmin rather than onto a phone. To use offline maps, open the INVIA app.
Organizer#
$79.99 a year, one rate, includes all of Pro. Organizer adds the event toolkit, so one account runs a whole event:
- Create events
- Hand out every GPS track from one place
- Run registration and a roster
- Send updates and documents to everyone registered
- Run a live tracking page for the event
Rider data stays private, because it reaches only the people on the roster. The app has no button to buy Organizer, since INVIA sets these accounts up itself, so ask INVIA to set one up for you.
Never gated, on any plan#
Connecting a device, recording and keeping your rides, exporting your own data and emergency handoff work on Free, Pro and Organizer. They stay available when a trial ends and after a subscription ends, so a lapsed subscription never shuts you out of your own rides or your own files.
Buying Pro#
- Open Profile, or choose any Pro prompt in the app.
- Read the plan picker.
- Choose Continue to checkout.
- Pay in Stripe.
The picker heading reads INVIA Pro, and under it sits the line Free is the road map. Pro is single track. It then compares the two plans across five rows:
- Single Track and ATV trail classes
- Extra Forest Service roads and the Clean Layer
- Offline maps in the INVIA app
- Live tracking
- Library, routes, collections, device sends, shown as Limited against No limits
The Forest Service row is marked as Pro only, so before you pay the picker names the Clean Layer and the extra Forest Service roads that were never published as Pro features.
Continue to checkout opens Stripe, which shows Secure checkout by Stripe. Prices exclude applicable taxes. The price in the picker is therefore the price before tax. Monthly subscribers can choose Switch to annual, save 50%, because a year at $59.99 costs half of twelve months at $9.99.
Cancelling#
- Open Profile.
- Cancel the subscription.
Pro access continues to the end of the paid period, and on that date the account continues as Free. Your routes, rides, collections and waypoints stay in the account, because cancelling changes which tools you reach rather than what you own. The Pro list above stops working and the Free list above keeps working, so open Profile and upgrade again whenever you want the Pro tools back. The Subscription card.
Beta#
INVIA is in beta, so features and improvements ship continuously and a subscription includes every update at no extra cost. Free, Pro and Organizer.
